Exell 2002

I am trying to replace codes in a spreadsheet column to
use with MYOB

eg 200 (my code) change to 6-2500(MYOB code)

Things were going fine using find & replace function
however I can not go above 1900 in the replace code. The
column displays a number in no apparent way connected
with the replacement code.

I'm sure there are no functions / formulas in the cells

I cannot even type the new code in manually - again as
soon as enter is pressed the code turns into a non
related number.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong

10 to 1 Excel is interpreting your replacement as a date. Is 1900 screwy as well. For example,
if you had 200 and changed to 6-1900, that would be Jun 1900 which would be the number 153 (Number
of days since Jan 1st 1900).

Format the whole range as text first and then try again.
