Existing documents opens very slowly

Hi

I need some help. I have just recently installed a few laptops with good
specs on an XP 32 bit sp3 platform and 1 of the laptops is very slow at
opening and existing document but very fast if you only open word to create
a new document.

If i am accessing a word, excel or pdf file in my documents it take about 1½
minutte to open the file. The computer is doing nothing else and there is
noting generated in the logs.

Try booting the problem Laptop into Safe Mode and see if the issue remains
