Expanding memory usage Excel 2003

I have a strange situation in Excel 2003 (SP1): after opening a (specific)
workbook with a pivot table Excel continuously expands its memory usage until
the virtual memory is getting low and Windows XP warns me. Anyone encountered
the same problem? Any ideas?
