expanding pictures

P

puter guy

Hello all:

I'm still in the process of working on my website - and probably always will
be :) and I wanted to find out if anyone knows how to expand your pictures.
To clarify, I am referring to that nifty little box that appears in the lower
right-hand corner and when you click on it, the picture expands to,
presumably, the original size.

I'm busy linking my thumbnails to the full-size graphic but it sure would be
nice to have that small box pop up instead.

Thanks in advance!

Dave,

I thought perhaps someone else might jump in here with the answer. Are you
talking about the automatic image resizing feature in IE? In IE go to tools
internet options > advanced > scroll down to Multimedia. Do you have the
"enable automatic image resizing" checked? What about "enable image
toolbar"? If you have the first checked, then when IE loads a "large" image,
it will resize it to better fit your screen. I haven't used this option for
a long time, but it may have the "nifty little box" in oversized images that
have been reduced in size because of this setting.

If this is what you are talking about, then no...this won't help in
Publisher sites. When you insert the image in a Publisher picture box, it
will view at the size of the box, even if it is oversized. I think the
"nifty box" feature only works when you are loading an image file by itself
in IE. Thumbnails is the correct approach for you...
