Experience with PDFMark code in Word?

Does anyone in the group have experience using Word's
PRINT fields to create PDFMark code? I'm having a hard
time finding anyone who can help me think through a
strategy.

I've found a few resources on the web that are specific to
creating PDFMark code in Word, and I'm having trouble with
them. I'd like to post a few questions and possibly post
some examples of code that isn't working as expected.

Thanks!

Using Print fields bloats the Postscript code quite alarmingly. A better
approach is to create the Postscript file and appenf the pdfmark commands to
it.

Thanks Jonathan -

I hadn't gotten far enough in my research to notice the
bloat. I don't know if I can append the PDFMark in the
Postscript code because I'm tinkering with making PDFMark
links within the text.

I know you can append PS files to handle document
properties and such, but I think links and link targets
need to be in place in the document. Correct?

What I need is to have cross-document links from doc A to
doc B that still work when I make pdf A and pdf B and then
merge the two pdfs together into pdf C.

PDFMaker will generate links in pdf A that link to pdf B.
But when I merge those pdfs together, the links don't
work. I'm tinkering with named destination links in
PDFMark, but not making much headway.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bob

You can. I have.

They need to be calculated at the time the docummnt is printed. Whether the
result of the calculation is the creation of a print field or a pdfmark
command appended to the PS file doesn't effect the nature of the calculation
required.

If you're interested in a beta of the latest version of MultiLinker, contact
me by email. I've already done all that.
