Expert Help Needed on reinstallation !!

[Synapse Syndrome]

I have OneNote, and some time last year I was stupid enough to try the SP1
Preview program. When this expired I was told to reinstall OneNote after
uninstalling it using Add/Remove programs.

The thing is, the button for OneNote removal is NOT there. I don't know how
it disappeared, but this makes it IMPOSSIBLE to use OneNote.

I can't reinstall it as it says that it needs to be uninstalled first.

How do I force a reinstallation, or edit the registry to get that button
back?

I haven't been able to use OneNote for months, and it's ridiculous.
