Expired trial of Word '04 still haunts

J

Judy Chucker

After using a 30-day trial of MS Word 2004, which I downloaded from the MS
for Mac website, I allowed it to expire, and trashed any remaining signs of
it.

However, when I receive a Word document in an email attachment, clicking on
it opens a dialog box informing me that my trial has expired. Here are the
options I¹m provided: ³buy now,² ³tell me more,² or ³remind me later.²

When I click on ³remind me later,² it¹s as if it¹s throwing a tantrum,
refusing to let my Word X open the document. I¹m being held captive by this
phantom trial!

What to do??

Thank you.

Get back to the Microsoft website and read the ReadMe for the trial version
carefully. You will note that there is a special method for removing it
that you MUST use.

You will probably have to re-install the trial, follow the instructions,
then re-install the licensed version.

Hope this helps
