Exploit-Mime.gen.c virus alert every time Entourage activates

Entourage 11.3.6
Ever since I performed the recent MS Office Update for MAC, every time
I launch Entourage, my virus software (McAfee VirusScan) gives me a
virus notice that a file named "Blck-nnnnnn" (where nnnnnn is a number
that changes every time) which is located in "/Documents/Microsoft
User Data/Entourage Temp/" contains a virus named "Exploit-
Mime.gen.c".

This occurs even when I do not initiate any send/receive operations.
Looking in the folder, there are no files (even looking with UNIX
terminal.

I have done a complete scan of all my disks, both with Entourage
active and with Entourage inactive, and cannot seem to find anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions, as to what I should do next?

There are no viruses for Mac OS X, so I really can't see the need to
run an anti-virus program on a Mac.

You probably have an email in your database that has an attachment that
is a Windows virus.

Hi!

run an anti-virus program on a Mac.

Unfortunately, some of us have to have it, just to please the unenlightened
and generally clueless.

I hate to speak ill of Norton Anti-Virus for Mac (as their development team
was very communicative, professional and polite when Norton and Quicktime on
an Intel Mac stopped getting along--it was a big deal at the time, caused by
an Apple security patch) but quite frankly I just don't like it that much.

Intego's product (which I tried on a test machine, to see if it might
represent a better product) was *worse* IMHO.

Files in that folder are typically attachments that you've viewed, opened,
or saved since launching Entourage, regardless of whether you're working
online or offline. As JR said, one of those files is probably
virus-infected, though it probably doesn't affect you since that sounds like
a Windows virus. If you close Entourage, you can delete anything left over
in the folder. I would see if you can just ignore the "Microsoft User Data"
folder (located in /Users/<Your User>/Documents/) in McAfee VirusScan.

Not Yet, maybe. Also since I also run Windows via boot camp and
parralells I think I need it. Plus it helps me to prevent forwarding
viri to my unwitting windows friends.

Now to continue with my problem. How do I fix this problem?
Even if I turn off my virus scan, I never see any files in the
Entourage temp folder, so there is nothing to delete.
Scanning the entire Microsoft user files folder, or my whole system
for that matter, finds no sign of the Exploit-Mime.gen.c virus or any
others. I have also searched for any attachments with a .exe
extension.

I'm going to rebuild my database, but it will take some time.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Jeff
Just give me CMKRNL, I don't need SETPRIV.
