explorer error accessing fonts folder

I recently installed some older fonts off a disc I
bought at Kmart and got an error message in Win2K during
install. I checked with Dr. Watson and it told me I had
an access violation. When I try to access the fonts
folder in control panel, I get the error message:

"Program error
explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being generated.
<OK>"

I don't know what it is doing and MS Support has not
helped me out.
