Export Access 2003 Report to Text or CSV

I have an access report which groups data from the parent table to display
data from the child table. I need to export this data into a fixed width
delimitted text file which is to be imported into Navision. The Transfer
Text macro instruction does not allow reference to a report, and the Output
instruction causes inappropriate line spaces. Can you help please?

Export the query that's used by the report or create a new query that gathers
the data in a similar way to the report. It could be difficult as reports
have more, or at least easier, sorting and grouping options.

You've hit the nail on the head, in that the grouping is necessary to
produce the text file in the correct format. I need to show the detail of
each grouping below the group, precisely in the format of a grouped report.
My problem is in exporting in that precise format, maintaining fixed widths.
This can be done with a table/query, but seems to be impossible with a
report. I would love someone to tell me if it is possible or not.
