Export Access report to Excel

I have an Access report that I export to Excel. This application has always
worked with no issues until recently. Now when I export the report to Excel,
the column that contains my part numbers occassionally has a different number
in place of the part number. I'm not sure where the number is coming from
(it's not a number from any other information on my report.) All of the
other information on my report seems to be correct.

Has anyone else ever had this issue?

What does this part number look like. If it is long Excel may try to change
it to scientific notation eg 1.35+10

If so you will need to format the 'number' in Excel as text

The number is not a scientific notation. The part number should look
something like 1658404-1 and instead it comes across as 1286021. Another
example is 1656775-3 comes across as 2309065.
