export columns on Resource Availability

Hi, I'm using Project Server 2007. From PWA, I select a few resources and go
to the Resource Availability page. I see the nice chart at the top and grid
at the bottom. When I choose Export to Excel, the resource information is not
shown in the exported data. If more than one resource is chosen, this
information is crucial to determine who is assigned a task. It doesn't seem
to matter which view I choose as they all work from the same data grid, more
or less.

I know how to customize views and have done so, but I don't see Resource
Availability in the list, only Resource Assignments.

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks much,
Ray

What exactly DO you see when you export the data to Excel? I have tried to
duplicate your problem, but cannot. In the exported Excel workbook, I can
see each resource's name plus their Capacity, Availability, and the projects
in which they are assigned tasks. Let us know what you see in the workbook
and we will try to help you.

Interesting... So this is a personal problem. Well thanks for responding.

Here's what I did:
- from Resource Center, select a Resource (or multiple Resources)
- click View Availability
- from Actions, select Export to Excel
- Open or Save the spreadsheet

Here's what I get:
- columns: Name (Task Name), then one column for each day in the date range
- rows: one row for each task assigned to this person; if more than one
resource is chosen, the tasks are thrown together into one messy group

I have customized some of the Views, but I can't see any view that relates
to availability, only assignments.

Thanks again.

I am unable to duplicate your problem, so I'm sorry that I cannot be more
help to you. You should see each resource name, plus their Capacity,
Availability, and the projects in which they are assigned tasks. Since this
is not what you see, something is wrong and I don't have any idea what it
is. Sorry. Also, please know that there is no way to create additional
views for the View Availability page in PWA 2007. Hope this helps.
