Dear all
I am currently trying to export data from a Word form (using form fields) to
an Excel spreadsheet. I suspect that the way to do this will be to use a
macro but I have no experience of using them and cannot work it out from the
help.
Context: Every 3 months receive approximately 100 applications for funding
and we then make a decision about whether to fund them or not. The
applications are submitted via a Word form (using form fields) and a number
of the fields in the application form are then transferred to an Excel
spreadsheet so we have an overall picture of what we have received (we also
use the spreadsheet to add up their scores, record our decision, etc).
We use many different types of field that need to be exported to the
spreadsheet, these include: Name (text, 100chars), Company (text, 100chars),
Project value (number), Project objective (text, 5000chars), Project start
date (date).
Can anyone help me to move this information? Or advise whether a macro is
the right way to go about it?
Many thanks for your time,
Jenny
