Export format properties

Hi there,

Is there any way to programmatically specify the export file properties?
For example, if I want to save a file as a .png, is there a way to specify
the color depth (like 24bit color, 8bit color or 4bit color)? Or, for a .jpg
to specify the amount of compression?

Or, if there isn't a way to specify that on a per-document basis, is there a
registry key or an .ini file that could be used to specify the desired values
for a particular image filter?

Thanks,

Jason Joseph

Hi Mich,

No, there doesn't seem to be any work-around (at least not for .png files).
Had to use an external program that would pick-up the .png and convert it to
the desired format.

Hi Jason,

And what of the jpg or gif files?
My problem is to export it in 86x86 resolution in the background...The
default resolution is the advance settings of the PC..After changing, this
becomes persistent for that instance of Visio, right?... I was thinking of
changing the PC's setting itself then changing it back after the export but I
am a little afraid of the effect of this..Anyway, we'll see..If I come across
anything, I'll let you know...Thanks!!
