Export from Word Form to Excel Spreadsheet

Hi:

I tried reviewing previous postings on exporting form fields from Word to
Excel and as I'm new to programming, I had some difficulty in following
responses to the postings. So I thought I would start fresh and post a new
question.

If I were to create a form in MS Word 2003 (with text fields, number fields,
checkboxes and dropdowns), what are the steps should I take so that when I
send the form to someone and they complete the form (do a "Save As" and send
the completed form back to me), I can take the information from the completed
form and import the info into an Excel spreadsheet? Is there a tutorial that
someone could perhaps suggest?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Easiest way, unless you are dealing with LOADS of them and need to do
it via a program, is to go to TOOLS OPTIONS then the SAVE TAB (I'm
assuming it's the same in 2003 as I haven't got a copy to hand) and
click the save data only for forms - then load the file into Word, and
save it, which will result in a CSV file you can load into Excel.
