Export Grid to Excel

Using MSP2003Ent

For some reason while in PWA/projects I can export the grid to Excel with no
errors but while under tasks/timesheet view when I click on export grid to
Excel I get the following error message. Box pops up titled (Problems during
Load, description box reads (Problem came up with the following areas during
load: Table, also reads (this file cannot be opened because of errors.
Errors are listed in: C:\Documents and Settings\my name\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.MSO\960678e.log... Thing is the
file 960678e.log is not on my system. In conclusion; export gird to excel
works except under tasks, I don't have the file 960678e.log they list and
export grid to excel under tasks works on other systems in company. Any
ideas on this, is it a system issue or excel issue or Project issue?

Does it behave this way for every user on every machine?

No, other systems aren't seeing this issue. Sorry for the wording, I have
fixed export issues in the past but this one is new to me.

Does this happen for all users on the machine? I'm trying to determine if it
is user- or machine-specific.

Hi,

I have actually narrowed this down the this particular machine not user. I
was just wondering what I could check on this machine to fix this error???
It defiantly is a local error.

A number of possibilities

1- Browser add-ins
2- Reinstall Active X objects for project serever
3- Local firewall
4- Browser security settings

Gary; I have checked and verified #'s 1, 3, 4 listed below.
When you say to reinstall activeX for Project Server do you mean deleting
Pj11enuC and PjAdoInfo3 and reinstalling? If not please explain.

Yes, that's what I mean. Sometimes it is best to delete them from a dos
prompt: del pj*.* as this deletes hidden files as well.
