I realise that, but it seems that Outlook wants to set up distribution
lists when it imports. Maybe that is where the problem is. When Outlook
imports, it shows the addresses coming in then automatically goes to
creating distribution lists, where it crashes.
Is there a way it can import the address book only - some way that I can
tell it not to create a distribution list automatically on import?

Explain what you mean. OE does not support distribution lists.

OK. Everything has fallen into place and is working, except when in
Outlook 2000 and I try to import the address book from Outlook Express,
it shows the addresses coming in, completes 100%, then goes to create
the distribution list and crashed the program. Program glitch or am I
doing something wrong here? Mail settings and messages imported
perfectly.
No need. Outlook will import the default folder from OE. Now if you
are saying that Outlook Express cannot find its address book file then
you have an OE question.

Makes sense. Now is there an easy way to locate the address book in
Outlook Express so I can point Outlook's import process in the right
folder?
Yes you are wrong.
You should import directly from OE. Outlook cannot import a WAB.
Outlook's import Wizard should make it foolproof.

Hi all. I'm sure it should not be difficult, but I'm having
trouble getting my address book exported from Outlook Express to a
format that I can import into Outlook 2000. Am I wrong at assuming
I should export it to a WAB then import it? This is where I run
into trouble - I cannot import the WAB. Suggestions?
