Is there a way to export a project stored in Project Server's SQL database
out to a normal Project mpp file?
A user had created a new project file, spending hours on it. He then
published the file to the Project Server, meanwhile saving the file in his
local My Documents folder. As this was on a laptop, the contents of his My
Documents folder get synched with network versions. The problem was, when he
tried to synch with the network, due to a power outage that occurred at that
exact moment, the network was unavailable. Somehow his local copy of the mpp
file got corrupted and now shows 0 bytes as its size.
When I log into the Project Server website, under the Admin tab -> Clean up
database, I can see the project. Under the Projects tab, I cannot see the
project.
Is there a way for me to export the project from Project Server back into
its mpp format so that the user does not have to start from scratch? If not,
is there a way for me to make the project visible under the Projects tab so
that the user can just copy what was already created?
TIA...
