Export query results to an extenal database

Greetings:

I am trying to export the filtered & sorted results of a query in
access 2000 to an external office program (SureThing Office) for a mail
merge. I have converted to dbase III, but I can only export the entire table
(all records). The export button is greyed out once the query is opened &
filters are applied.

Is there any way to do this, or any "work arounds" to get the filtered
info to the external program?

Thanks in advance for any help or insight,
Robert

Hi Robert,

Just incorporate the sort order and filtering into the query itself.
Consider making it a parameter query so you can enter the criteria each
time the query runs.

Thanks for the response John. What you suggest makes sense to me, however, I
am fairly new to Access, & have not gotten too deep as yet. Could you give me
some hints on the correct way to do this, or possibly direct me to an area
were this info is available.

I am trying to learn this program as I go, however I need this particular
area to be able to export asap.

Thanks again, Robert

John,

Thanks for your response, I don't know if my last post is still up, however
if it is, please ignore my request for further info. I was able to implement
your suggestions, & now the queries are dynamic and exportable. Thanks again
for your help
robert
