Export report in excel and format the excel fields

Hello,
I have a report in access that has 2 text fields with numbers with leading
zeros.
Report looks fine in the snapshot viewer.
When I export it into excel, the 2 text fields loose the leading zeros that
I need.
Can anyone help with this? I need the leading zeros to show, the fields are
both fixed width 6 characters long
