Export report to Excel

How can I automate the export of a report to EXCEL. I am now using the the
File|Export option to do this but I would like to be able to eliminate this
manual step. I an sumewhat familiar with VBA.

Take a look at the TransferSpreadsheet method in the Help file.

Thanks Doug,

I read the help file and understand some of it. they refer to it as being
the "TransferSpreadsheet" Action. Is it the same? I am using Access 2000.

what would realy help is and example. One book I have talkes about
"transferspreadsheet" as being a macro action and the other says to see the
documentation. where do I find more info than in the help screens?

Again, an example would ge a great help.

There's both a TransferSpreadsheet action (which is what you'd use in a
macro) and a TransferSpreadsheet method (which is what you'd use in VBA)
