Export reports to Excel

Mike Huston

I have asked MS several times over the years and got
a "No" answer.

Is there anyway to export reports, like "Cash Flows" into
an Excel worksheet or at least a dilimited file?

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

Although there is no direct way to export a report to
Excel, you should be able to get the "Cash Flow" report
data exported to Excel using the "Analyze Timescaled Data
in Excel" option from the Analysis toolbar.

Hope this helps.

Mike,
I think what you meant to ask was, "Is there any way . . " instead of,
"Is there anyway . . ." I am surprised that whoever you asked at
Microsoft said "no". The answer is definitely, "yes". Julie and Mike
both gave some options but there is yet another method - use VBA. With
VBA you can not only export any Project data into Excel but also format,
manipulate and graph it in any way desired.

Julie,
I took a while to go back and look at your response, but
thank you for the tip. Just what I was looking for! And
I didn't have to resort to learning VBA.
