Export time phased assignment information

I'm trying to dump the time phased assignment information to excel from
project so I can create a stacked bar histogram (couldn't see how I can
do that in project proper). Is there a method on the project that I
can call to have it dump the info? I worked with a tool called Open
Plan before and it had a one stop method to do this, really nice.

Display the toolbar Analysis then click the Export timephased data to Excel
button and follow the Wizard. The last option is to graph the data. Once
created you can edit the graph type.

Is there a way to include task information with this? So, if needed,
we can see basically the resource usage spreadsheet in excel? Thanks!

Look at the data sheet, all task names should be there.

The data sheet from the export just has the resource information,
nothing about the tasks that make up the assignment totals. What I'm
hoping is I can use this wizard to export not only based on selected
resources, but by selected tasks as well so I can draw the histogram
off of that. So, for example, if I wanted to see the engineers time in
low rate production, I could export and graph that information.

never mind, found out that it was driven by the view I had opened.

scratch that, is there a way to get assignment information exported? I
see how I can get resources exported, and export based on task, but how
can I get the detailed assignment info? If I export based on resource
I can't see what tasks they're assigned to, if I export based on task,
I can't see what resources are assigned to that task. Any help would
be appreciated.
