Export to Database functionality

I am trying to export the metadata from a database model. I don't need to
actually generate the database. I just want to export the table definitions,
column definitions, etc. into an Access database.

I thought the "Export to Database" feature would do this. While I do get
some graphics-related info, I don't get anything that is usefull to me. Most
of the important data does not get exported at all (e.g., column information)
or comes over blank (e.g., ShapeText, etc.)

I have tried using both Visio Pro 2002 and Visio for Enterprise Architects,
but neither works the way I would expect.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

the database modeling addon is a proprietary piece of code that stores the
information internally.

I have a utility (Orthogonal toolbox, free, url below) on my website that
can be used to export the metadata as XML.
