I have installed MS Web Components 10.0.0.2621 to make Pivot tables in
an HTML document. Web Components offers the option to export the Pivot
table to Excel.
I also have installed MS Office 2002.
When I have created a Pivot table using Web Components and I click on
the button 'Export to Excel' the system opens a Word document instead
of an Excel document. This document remains empty because no data from
the Pivot table are entered into the Word document.
When I first open Excel and then click on the 'Export to Excel' button
I get a correct Pivot table in Excel.
So I do have a workaround for this (i.e. first opening Excel) but the
application should open Excel by itself. Has anyone any idea why this
goes
