This problem has been identified in the past and a fix was
incorporated in SP1 but I am still experiencing it. On requesting the
export a dialgue box opens and tries to save a file with extension xls
(1). It is in fact an xml file and Excel will not open it. I have a
number of virtual environments where this is not a problem - in these
the file is named as sheet1.xls and it is recognised as readible by
Excel. If I compare the two files, the only difference is one line:
<ss:Worksheet ss:Name=" "> in the xls(1) file
<ss:Worksheet ss:Name="sheet1"> in the good file
Entering any text between the empty quotes makes the file good! (Excel
will open it)
The environment with the problem is PS2007 with October patch. Client
side is IE6/Office 2003 (Sp2).
Any ideas on debugging problem would be appreciated.
