Export To MOV Doesn't Include Embedded Sound Files

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

When I insert a sound file into a PowerPoint 2008 slide, and set it to play automatically, it plays nicely in "slide show". But if I export the PowerPoint file to MOV there is no sound in the movie. Is there any way to get embedded sound files to work?
