export to textfile

Hi

I am using Office XP SP2

I have a table that includes a text field (Op) - the data is of the format
0001
0002
0013
0015

When I try to export this table as a fixed width the text file has the above
field like so:
1.000
2.000
13.00
15.00

What am I doing wrong

Use a query and Format the field.
Then export the query.

Thanks but that didn't work either or at least not what I tried.

I have created an export spec and this seems to have done the trick
