Export VCF files

P

Panic

I can import .vcf files into my Contacts but I don't see any way to export
my contacts as a vcf file other than one by one. I can right click a contact
and choose Export as Vcard and it works. But when I highlight multiple
contacts and right click that is not an option. I tried highlighting
multiple entries, right clicking and choosing Forward and that ends up
attaching them as multiple attachments.

Is there any way to export them all as one file that can be imported into
Outlook by the addressee? In a manner similar to export/import of Windows
Address Book (WAB) in Outlook Express. That puts them all in one .wab file
for export/import use.

I'm using Outlook 2000 and my friends I'm exchanging data with use Outlook
2002 and 2003.

You can always move them to a separate contacts folder and export that to a .csv or other format file.

Milly, I must be missing something. I created a subfolder under contacts
and copied some addresses to it in Outlook. I see no way to send the
folder. However I can highlight those files in the folder...right
click....choose Forward Items and it creates an email format with those
Vcard images at the bottom. I address it to myself at my Outlook Express
address and add some comments. I then open Outlook Express, get the message
and it shows the comments but no attachments.

Naturally. You're sending a Rich Text message and it's well-documented that
Outlook Express can't see attachments on Rich Text messages.

While I use plain text in Newsgroups I use Rich Text (HTML) for my email
with Outlook Express. Is Outlook's Rich Text different than OE's Rich Text
(HTML)?

Completely different. Outlook Express's Rivh Text corresponds with
Outlook's HTML format. Outlook's Rich Text is a format specific to Outlook
and is encapulated in TNEF when going outbound. Outlook Express can't
decode TNEF and so ignores it.

I would like to carry the original Question? Since Exporting of Contact to
CSV /TAB /Excel etc available but to Export entire contact as .VCF is not
available. I want contacts of Outlook to be imported in Lotus Note that
supports only .VCF & not .CSV or TAB Deli.. or Excel.

Do any one has answer for how to Export entire contact as .VCF file

It cannot be done in out look. the third party tool that has worked
for me is Palm Desktop. You import the address book into the palm
desktop and it can be exported as a single vcf file. I have used this
to import address books into my new cell phones. I did this with my
samsung and sanyo.
I was able to send the vcf file to my phones file manager and open it
as an address book.
