Hey all,
I've been around the internet and have seen how-tos for taking data
from a SQL server and dumping it into Word. However, I haven't found
a good article on how to take data directly from a Sharepoint list and
drop it in. Basically the idea is to grab a particular list item in
Sharepoint, click a button (or hyperlink), and have that data pop into
a new copy of a Word doc stored somewhere on the server.
I have a trial copy of Office Sharepoint Developer 2007 - is there
some way I can do it in there without having to break out VS 2005?
A side-question to that: why the heck can't i install the Sharepoint
and VSTO extensions on my local installation of VS 2005? Every time I
try, it yells at me, saying I don't have WSS 3.0 installed. I don't
want to run VS 2005 off of my server - I want to do it locally!
Thanks so much,
John
