Exporting a Project

I've developed a plan in MS Project but many of the team members do not have
MS Project. I've exported to excel, which works fine, except all of the tasks
are treated the same, e.g., the heading task looks just like the sub task.
I'd like to export the plan to excel in a format that looks just like the
plan: I'd like the top level tasks to be bolded, with the sub-tasks
indented. Any ideas? Thanks.

Paul Peterson.

Hello Paul,

You could save as HTML (assuming you are using Project 2003 or
earlier). That option creates an HTML file with the hierarchy intact
and the file may be viewed by a web browser.

If you would like to continue with Excel, fellow MVP, Jack Dahlgren
kindly posted a macro named "Export hierarchy to Excel" on his
website. See:

http://masamiki.com/project/macros.htm

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks Julie. I've used the HTML and that works ok. I'll try the Macro.
Thanks for the quick response.

Paul.
