Exporting and importing a cert

P

Pascal Duchemin

Hello,

I am trying to export a certificate from a machine in Entourage and
reimport it on another machine.

When I use the Microsoft certificate manager, I am able to export the
installed cert ( with its private key ) but when I do the import from
the cert manager on the new machine, after clicing on OK I don't see
anything in my personal certificates.

Any solutions by any chance ?

Thanks

Can you find the imported cert in the Keychain by any chance ??

If the certificate is someone's public cert or the cert of a server, it
should not appear unnder "your" cert. The Microsoft Cert Manager will
only list under your certificates your own personal digital certificates
used to authentify and encrypt the e-mails you send,

Check the keychain, that's where all the certificates end up anyway :)

Great it worked.

What I was doing wrong was following the instructions I found on a
website, which said : drag and drop the cert onto the kerychain icon.
The correct way was to open up the keychain tool and then drag and drop
it in there

Thanks

You can even double-click the cert and it should launch the Keychain app
to import it.

I'm glad it worked for you :)
