Exporting and Importing Outlook to/from a loaner computer

I am considering providing a loaner notebook to my clients while their
computer is being repaired.
Ideally, I would like to have one image backup with one version of
Outlook installed that I can restore to every time that I loan out the
notebook.
I assume that I can export from both Outlook 2003/2007 and import into
Outlook 2010.

My question is can I export the tasks, appointments, Email, etc from
Outlook 2010 and them import them back into the client's Outlook
2003/2007 once their computer has been repaired?
Is there an easier and safer way of accomplishing my task?

Thank you in advance.

No you cannot. Doing what you describe (export and import) will corrupt the pst
files.
You need to back up the files manually and then re insert them manually into the new
setup in Outlook

By 'insert the manually' you mean the built into 'restore' function
that is mentioned on that same URL. Correct?
