Exporting assignment unit field value from MSP 2002 to MS Excel

Hi

I have encountered a little bit of a frustration. I am
trying to export out of MSP 2002 in to an Excel pivot
table using the Export Wizard. All fields that I select
appear to be correctly populated ...... that is except for
the field ASSIGNMENT UNITS, which is transferred as a
blank column.

The ASSIGNMENT UNITS columns appears to be populated when
when the column is added to the Resource Usage View, but
not when added to the Gantt View. As this is assigned and
not calculated, I would have expected that this would be
available to be exported?

Can anyone suggest as solution please. It will be
appreciated.

The gantt view does not know about assignment units as each task may have
multiple assignments.
If you want that information you need a usage view such as resource usage.
What is your problem with using that to export?

Have you tried the export timescaled data to excel add-in?

Hi Jack

To clarify, when exporting the assignment unit column and
field that appears in the resource view does not get
populated when exporting in to Excel(it is blank).

I find this very strange and frustrating
