Exporting data to access

I want to export data from an excel worksheet into an
existing access table. I can do this using the convert to
access option in the data menu but I would like to do it
with a macro. (Recording doesn't work). Does anyone know
how I can do this?

Thanks

I'm just about to do the same thing, could you do it by
recording a macro in Access to import the data rather than
exporting from Excel?

Ideally I would like to ensure that the access database is
always up to date without running it needlessly. The
excel spreadsheet has a macro to update the data that is
run daily and I would like to export the data to access at
the end of the macro.

Doing the macro in Access would require everyone to check
if the macro has been run and then requesting it (or to be
set up to run whenver somone opens the database but this
would slow the system down)

I am using office 97 if that makes any difference
