Exporting embedded objects with CSV

An admin assistant exports her bosses calendar to CSV so the boss can import
it into his PDA (they use CSV because it's a much smaller file). We just
discovered that she sometimes pastes a Word table into an appointment entry
and when she does so - the entry gets corrupted on the CSV export file. Is
there a work around?

Have you taken a look at the suspect CSV file in NotePad to see what's up
with that particular entry?

My employee who was working on the problem said she viewed it in Excel and
only part of the embedded data was present.

More annoying was that the entire appointment was missing from the import.

Why aren't you using appropriate sync software, like Chapura PocketMirror or
ActiveSync?

The problem is that our university doesn't use Exchange. The boss uses
Outlook for his schedule and his admin person maintains his schedule on her
PC in her Outlook. She then exports as a CSV and emails that file to him -
which he then imports into his laptop and synchs to his Blackberry.

I'd look at it in Notepad or other text editor to get a fully clear view of
the file's contents.

I don't think Exchange is a prerequisite for synching Outlook and a
Blackberry, but I don't know enough to say for sure.

If this were my process, I'd use someting other than exporting to a csv.
Why doesnt she simply mail him the actual event containing the attachment?
