Exporting existing info from outlook 2003 to exchange server

This must be an easy thing to do or it is not possible. I'm hoping
that what I am about to describe is easy and I'm just missing
something ?

We got exchange server to share calendars and inbox information. I set
up exchange server - no problem. I have Outlook 2003 on one machine
and have outlook 2002 on other. The Outlook 2003 machine has a ton of
data and a calendar that goes out almost another year with
appointments. I am able to delegate and allow the 2002 Outlook user
to share a calendar and inbox on the exchange server - albeit ... the
calendar and inbox are empty. I was feeling pretty good about being
able to do at least that.

I don't know how to populate those blank calendars and inboxes that
Exchange Server set up for me with live data that's sitting in my
Outlook client. Do I need to start out with no information and build
it as I go or can I bring forward all my history from the client's
outlook folders into the exchange server data base ? At first, I
thought that synchronization would be the mechanism but being new to
Outlook 2003 and Exchange Server I could use a little guidance.

If this is possible (I'd be really surpised if it isn't) then how is
this done. If the process is too complicated to explain could someone
please point me to a reference. I can't find a succinct reference
anywhere - forgive me if this is really elementary.

Thanks in advance ! ! !

Exporting/Importing the Mailbox (Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items, and
Calendar etc.) is a simple process, but from what I have read it is not
possible to perform this process successfully when using 2 different
versions of MS Office.

Here is how you would perform the steps, in any case.

Open the client on the computer you want to export information from.

Choose File> Import and Export> Export to a file> Next> Personal
Folder file (.pst)> Next > Highlight the highest level of the mailbox
(typically 'Mailbox - Username')> Be sure to check the 'Include
Subfolders' option, Next> 'Save Exported file as:' Specify a shared
network location that the other computer will be able to access> Leave
the first radio button selected (Replace duplicates with items
exported)> Next> Leave the settings on this page default and click
Next.

Once you have succesfully created a backup.pst file and specified it to
be saved on a network share go to the other computer open the Outlook
client and perform the following steps:

File> Import and export> Import from another program or file> Select
Personal File folder (.pst)> Next> Specify the network location that
you saved the backup.pst file to> Next> Leave the defaults selected on
this screen (Include Subfolders, Import Items into the same folder in:
Mailbox - Username, etc) and finally select Finish.

Good Luck...
