exporting/importing

How do you export an Outlook 2002 contact list to an
excel spreadsheet? How do you import an excel
spreadsheet address list to an Outlook 2002 contact
list?

File | Import and Export in both cases.

Save Excel file as CSV, then close Excel.
Open Outlook.
Select File Import and Export
Select Import fron another program.
Select NEXT
Select CSV (Windows).
Select NEXT
Select file to import.
Select NEXT
Select destination contact folder.
Select NEXT
Click in Import check box.
MAP CUSTOM FIELDS dialog box appear.
Drag field names from left to related field names on right.
Select NEXT to test related fields.
Select OK when done.
Select finish.

Mindy, you seem to be missing one of the steps or not selectin
something along the way. I cannot see any reason for the files no
being imported if you have followed the steps as instructed by Karl
Make sure the csv file is actually saved as the csv file type. Yo
need to start from scratch and follow each step with intense attention
Try the steps I posted above, step by step

Problem was resolved - was missing a header row.
