Exporting/Importing

I have a slight issue and have tried searching the net for answers and
keep running into dead ends. Hopefully someone here can help. I had t
reformat my desktop PC recently and before it was done, I networked m
Desktop and Laptop together and transferred everything that needed t
be to the Laptop, including emails from Outlook Express. Now that I go
my Desktop back up and running, I would like to transer everything bac
from the Laptop. When I copy all my .dbx files from the Outlook Expres
emails on the Laptop and network my Desktop, it is showing that th
progam to open them are a word program and that will not work. On th
laptop, it is as an unknown application and I am guessing that is ho
it is suppose to be. But when they get to the Desktop, its a wor
program. Therefore, I am not able to import them into Outlook. No
Outlook Express, but Outlook. Anyone have a suggestion on how to fi
this and help me be able to import these emails

you need to add the outlook express files to outlook express then export to
outlook.

Why didn't you just back up the pst?

The reason why I didn't back up the files is that the drives on th
Desktop was not working and that is why I networked the two together.
I even tried using a jump drive, but still no luck. When I transporte
them to my laptop, I imported them into the Outlook Express. Then whe
I got ready to transfer them back to the Desktop, I copied the files.
