Exporting Palm Desktop files into MS Outlook 2007

I cannot figure out how to get my Palm Desktop files into MS Outlook 2007.
The palm file extensions are .dat files.

Install a program that syncs Palm with Outlook. Outlook can't handle the dat
files.
