Exporting Powerpoint slides to individual gif files

Hi,

There's a powerpoint file that has been uploaded by a user to a server (say
example.pp), which contains 5 slides.

Is is possible to 'parse' or 'export' the ppt so that each slide is saved as
an individual image file e.g. s1.gif, s2.gif, s3,gif, s4.gif and s5.gif? I've
tried to google for a possible solution, but haven't had much luck. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
