Exporting resource data to excel

I want to export my resource usage data to excel. I save to excel and use
the export map to filter out what I want but I need the "work" which I have
represented in "hrs" to be exported as a number not as text. In the data
type column on the export map it selects my work as text. I need to apply
sums etc to this information in excel and it exports for example:

20 hrs as 20 hrs in text format. I need it to export as 20 in number
format. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dan

in excel it is very easy to fix this - select the cells with the time in
them, and choose edit / replace
in the find what box type
hrs
(if there is a space between the number and the hrs put the space in as
well)
in the replace with box, leave blank
choose replace all

this should remove the hrs bit and leave you just numbers.
