Exporting to Excel - Formatted

Al Mackay

Is it possible to run a macro? / VBA within Access 2000 that when it
runs it runs a query called Data_Prep which then exports the results
to a blank Excel spreadsheet.

Within this blank excel spreadsheet a filter is automatically applied
to the column headings?

The Excel spreadsheet is then saved C:\Data.xls

If this isn't possible directly (e.g. to a blank sheet - would it be
possible to have it export to an excel sheet that already exists that
when it loads it actually runs a Auto_Open macro to clear the data -
pastes this data in from Access and then after a time delay, e.g.
enough time for the data to have pasted, it then runs the rest of the
macro to apply the filter and close down?).

I can do the part in excel with the exception of the on time delay -
however, not sure about when the sheet opens if the macro will
interrupt access passing the data through?

Appreciate your help/guidance on the above if you can help with any
part of this.

Cheers, Al ( (e-mail address removed) )
