I have an older version of Visio that I created some stencils on. I now have
Visio 2007 and I want to import the stencils to the new version of Visio.
Does anyone know how I can do this?

Just copy the stencil files into the My Shapes folder within My
Documents.

The file will still be in the older format. You should open the stencil in
2007 and save a COPY of that stencil in Visio 2007 format.

Just as a matter of interest, John, what is the benefit of doing that?

Well, it is quite possible that some manual editing is necessary to prevent
the new themes being applied to inappropiate shapes (or sub-shapes) for one.
Also, if the stencils were pre-Visio 2003, then it saves time on conversion.
