exporting

hello all, i know this might be a stupid question, but how
do you export a personal address book to a file so i can
take it with me and import to another computer's outlook?

PAB's are obsolete and no longer in use. You cannot export them. Since they
are a separate file, you have no need to export them. Just copy the PAB
file.
Time for you to migrate to Contacts and the Outlook Address Book.
