Exportintg conacts for a listserver....

Stuff

Hi,

(Using Outlook 2000)

I have a huge contact file, and I would like to export the contacts' full
names in one field in this format: "FirstName LastName". .

Exporting creates one of two problems for me with the results:.

1) When I map and use NAME, the file has the contact names in a single
field with this format: "LastName, FirstName". How can I reverse the last
and first names to get the proper format?

--- OR ---

2) When I map using FIRSTNANE, MIDDLENAME LASTNAME, I get three distinct
fields. How can I merge each contact name into one field separated with
spaces?.

ThanX for your input on this ... I have tried everything I know to solve
this.

The export file type can be Excel, csv, txt...I can easily convert.

The important thing is getting one field with the name correctly formatted
like this: "FirstName LastName"

thanX!

Since First Name and Last Name are separate fields in Outlook, exporting
will not concatenate them. For that you'd need to use a mail merge, not
export. You can do a mail merge to a Word Document, then save that list as a
TXT file that you could convert to CSV in Excel.
