Expression is too complex

I have been using the following expression for two years:
="For Registrations Between: " & Format([forms]![Report Date
Range]![Beginnining Registration Date],"m/d/yy") & " and " &
Format([forms]![Report Date Range]![Ending Registration Date],"m/d/yy")
It works for every date except 01/01/06 - 01/31/06. I can type in 02/01/06
and the end date and it works perfectly. Suggestions or solutions
appreciated.
