Solving a Problem

When I preview my Contact Us.aspx web page on my browser, my contact us web
page never displays. Whereas, my htm web pages displays. How do I get my
Contact Us.aspx web page to display when I preview it?

Make sure you have the site settings in EW set to display ASPX pages. YOu
need the development server installed (should install when you install EW).
Go to Site (menu) then to "Site Settings..." (option) then to "Preview"
(tab). Check the box "Use Microsoft Expression Web Development Server" and
check the option "for PHP and .Net pages only" and see if that makes a
difference.

Seem my other reply, but your questions about Expression Web are better
being asked in the Expression Web group.
(microsoft.public.expression.webdesigner). Available on the
msnews.microsoft.com news server or the web forum thingy.

You may want to ask in the Expression web newsgroup
microsoft.public.expression.webdesign

Solving a Problem

Dear Stefan:

Thank you for immediately responding. The problem I have with Expression
Web Fourm, the technicians don't give me instructions on solving my problem;
instead, they give their mostly negatives comments which I don't appreciate.

Solving a Problem

Dear Andrew:

Thank you for immediately responding and giving me instructions to my
problem. As for your second message, the reason why I don't like using
Expression Web Forum is they give comments instead of giving me instructions
on how to solve problem. One of the technicians gave a negative comment
about my website; I told him how I felt about his negative comment. He
replied with a arrogant remark so I complained on him.

Once I try your instructions, I will keep you informed if this works or not;
okay.

Technicians?

Maybe you were expecting these groups to be "official" support from
Microsoft, but they are not. They are peer to peer support groups - users
helping other users.

The MVP's who are members of this group, and MVP's generally are designated
as such through this awards program
(https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/gp/mvpawardintro) but they are not
necessarily Microsoft employees although they may well work in the I.T.
field. They participate in these newsgroups giving freely their time and
expertise to help the PC user community.

Can you give an example of some negative feedback/answers you've received?

Solving a Problem

Dear Andrew:

I already made a complaint on Scott a couple of months ago, regarding his
comment about my music on my website.

I followed your instructions to display my website; I was unabel to find the
Development Server download so I downloaded Net Frame 2.0 and 3.5. I still
had the same problem. So, I decided to take your advice and go to the
Expression Web Forum. Anyway, thanks for your help and advice.

Development Server shouldn't need to be downloaded - it is part of the EW
installation.
