EXT

How do I get out of EXT? If I am in word the entire document becomes highlighted and I cannot make any changes. The recommendations in HELP say to either hit "escape" and click in the document or the double click on the EXT button at the bottom of the document. Neither one works.

This isn't a Word forum, but I'm guessing the problem is caused by some
confusion in the mouse.

When I have similar problems, I try the following things:

(1) Press the Alt key a few times to "unstick" the program.

(2) Right click with the mouse, then left click.

(3) Close Word and reopen it.
