extend.dat

Since MS Security Essentials was NOT able to prevent me about the virus Pushbot.gen!C (it has accused its presence, but did not remove it), I don´t get to start Outlook 2007.
The message it shows is "Outlook was not able to open extend.dat file". The next message is "you don´t have the permission to open the C:\users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst".
I have administrative privileges and use Windows 7 OS.
I´ve des- and re-installed Outlook twice and the same error appears
I´d appreciate a help on this subject
Thank

Does it work if you use Safe mode? You can start in safe mode b
holding the Ctrl key as you click the outlook shortcut.

Did you make a new profile? Go into Control panel and find Mail to mak
a new profile

Yes! I created a new profile, associated to the same old .pst file and everything turned to right

I am suspiscious about a certain OVBp41oO2P4. It was at the root start to be initialized with the login. It is associated to \users\public\msng.exe; Whenever this file is active, MS Essentials find the Pushbot.gen!C worm. Since this worm was initially found, Outlook begun not to work.
Now I disabled this OVB file, and everything is right.
Have you ever heard about such a problem
Thanks again.
